Maldives

For a luxury beach holiday, it doesn’t get much better than the Maldives. A picture postcard paradise, your tropical adventure awaits. White sand beaches fringed with coconut trees, teal waters teeming with colourful fish and a laid back way of life. It’s the perfect Indian Ocean getaway.

With average temperatures of around 28 degrees Celsius all year round, there’s never a bad time to visit the Maldives outside of the monsoon season. Perfect weather for relaxing on the beach, there is plenty else to see and do on this island chain.

A marine environment that will take your breath away, remember to pack your snorkel. Five species of turtle live in the Maldives, and 21 species of whale and dolphin. Many of the luxury resorts are located at the ocean’s edge and you can literally step into the crystal clear waters from your bed. Swim, surf and sunbathe, washed down with a refreshing cocktail. What’s not to like?

A Maldives holiday is a good way to get a dash of culture too. Pay a visit to a holhuashi, a small resting place where the local fishermen gather to tell stories and play cards. Or stop off in Male, one of the world’s smallest capital cities. Home to mosques, museums and markets, it only takes a day to navigate, and it’s a day worth spending. Whether you’re after an island hopping adventure, or simply want to while away a few days in paradise, a Maldives holiday has it all.
